“My heART, My Dream” Art Competition Information For Participants

Drawings/designs might be sent to mass print on merchandises such as shopping bags and single-sheet files, which will be sold through street sales and participating partners by the organizer.

Category
There are two categories for this competition: Junior Category (for participants who are 12 or below on 29 July 2008) and Open Category (No age limit).

Submission
All participants are required fill the Submission Form (the soft copy of submission form can obtained by emailing yfc.heART@gmail.com or clicking this link http://www.savefile.com/files/1663765 and) submit it together with the artwork.

For submissions in digital form, please email the artwork with this submission form to yfc.heART@gmail.com

For hard copy submissions, please mail/pass them to the following:

Terms and ConditionsParticipation in this competition means that the participant has read and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined below:
1. Applications will be considered objectively by “My heART, My Dream” judging panel and decisions for acceptance and selection will be made at their discretion.
2. Decisions are final and no appeals will be entertained.
3. Participation in this competition means the participant agrees that the organizer can use the drawing on merchandises/publicity. The organising committee reserves the right to make minor changes on the drawing/design without notification to the participants.
4. The organising committee reserves the right to change any part of this document without prior notification to the participants.

heART - A Fund-Raising Project for the "BMT 4 Kids" Programme, under the NUH Patientcare Charity Fund.

We are a group of 4 students from Hwa Chong Institution, carry out this Citibank-YMCA Youth For Causes project, heART to raise funds for our beneficiary through art workshops/competitions and sales of unique shopping bags specially designed by our beneficiary kids.



AIMS
Our project seeks to raise awareness of the plight of children with terminal cancer and genetic blood diseases, and endeavour to raise funds for the BMT programme through sales of merchandise designed by the children under the programme. Through the workshops and competitions conducted, we also help enrich their lives and allow them to express their creative artistic potential.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Art workshop cum competition for the children from "BMT 4 Kids", primary schools and community centres. Children will learn to design and paint their own artworks onto recyclable shoppings bags. Winning bag designs will be selected and mass printed for sales nationwide.

-World Record breaking attempt to create largest "mosaic" of shopping bags to form one COOL design. Childrens' artwork done during the workshop will be pieced together to form a huge mosaic to be exhibited around Singapore at our sales booth and help raise awareness of these childrens' potential in society.
